Let’s face it, Rice Memorial High School is an old school. It has a lot of history and many people have filtered through its halls. However, it appears that some people never left.
Some teachers and students claim that they have seen and heard ghosts wandering Rice’s halls. One such teacher is Marisa Mulligan, who mysteriously lost two MacBook chargers last year.
Some may say a student took it, or even one of the janitors, but Mrs. Mulligan believes it was the work of a paranormal entity. She has proof too.
Mulligan said she she knows for a fact that she left the too chargers plugged into her projector cart, backed up by the fact that they are not at her house. Mulligan and Dan Routhier decided to review security footage after Mulligan noticed her chargers were missing.
Only one person entered and left Mulligan’s room, located on the second floor, at the end of that fateful day. This was a member of the dedicated janitorial staff. Mulligan noted that he didn’t take anything in or out of the room and he was not wearing the right type of clothing to hide something in. She also says he was in and out of her room quickly, and didn’t stay long enough in the room to take anything.
Mulligan and Routhier scoured the tape more closely.
“When we were reviewing it, we just saw my door like swing open. The janitor closed my door and left and continued down the hallway to he next room and my door just swung back open,” Mulligan noted. She said it wasn’t a gentle door opening, but instead the door flung open, from being closed!
She said they watched the tape three times and there was no explanation for how her door could have opened on its own. The doors in Rice are not light either, they take some force to open and close.
Try not to be too ghoul for school and remember, what ghosts around floats around.
