Will I own this name? It is such a bother
Hear the sentence ringing, will I be the father?
My name is good, my name is great
You already know my name ate
My name is basic, just like what you make
Named when my parents’ relationship, wasn’t at stake
Then he left, he was right.
Pale as a burnt cookie, dark as night
My name never fails, it always works
It never stood out, it never left a smirk
Will I get that medal? Will I get that perk?
No matter how boring my name gets, my money twerk

i enjoyed having to discover the implied context, as this piece of art has a unique ‘plot’ due to how abstract it is. it’s short but rhymes, and is quite pleasant to reflect on in the present. this was fun to read, to say the least!
